We see
A church where people love Jesus Christ and are committed to follow Him as Lord and Savior. A place where each and every day we look for ways He is calling us to deepen our relationship with the One true living God.
We see
A church that is excited to gather in worship and fellowship, not only on Sunday and not only at the church building, but at every opportunity where we are gathered. A place where our worship is freely driven by the movement of the Holy Spirit and the result is a love for each other that flows over everyone both within and beyond our reach.
We see
A church that prays without ceasing because we know for certain that God answers prayer. A place where people pray for those they love and those they don't--because God loves everyone, even our enemies. A place that believes that real change happens when prayer is at the forefront of every plan or program because it is God who brings about the kingdom of God. A place that believes that God is God, and we are not, so we must first seek Him and His will for what He will have us do and who He will have us be.
We see
A church so emboldened by the power of the Holy Spirit that it unashamedly reaches out with love and compassion to those in need regardless of who they are, where they come from, or why they are here. A place that reaches people from every corner of the world. A place where everyone, whether strangers or members, young or old, married, widowed, divorced or single, healthy or in need of healing, will linger because the love of God is so palpable that you don't want to leave His presence. A place where forgiveness is not just a word but a practice, and grace flows to those who do not know Jesus so that they might experience the truly sacrificial love of God and come to know Him personally as their Savior and Lord.
We see
A church where everyone is given an opportunity to grow in their understanding and maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ. A place where spiritual gifts are taught, encouraged, and practiced without inhibition. A place where mentoring is highly valued and available to those seeking mentors to help them live the calling God has for them.
We see
A church where Godly leadership, grounded in the personal spiritual practices of prayer, worship, solitude, silence, retreat, fasting and sabbath is the standard. A place where kingdom leaders are supported and nourished so that ministry is driven by the Holy Spirit and flows with anticipation and joy. A place where it is exciting and affirming to birth a ministry God is calling into being.
